Islam in The World of Teens

          Islam in the eyes of teenagers now may be just a religion that requires them to prayer, fasting, zakat and hajj. But in fact, Islam is not only limited to it. Islam also teaches kehipuan procedures for associating with men, setting out how Muslim women in dress, regulates our behavior towards the elderly and so on. But, in fact it is far from realization.          In this case aqidah a key role in the establishment of an Islamic youth. Aqeedah itself consists of three elements, namely faith, Islam, and Ihsan.          As in the hadith the Prophet said: "The Mu'min's most perfect faith are those who best mind and character" (Narrated by Ahmad). In this case suggests that morality is a Benchmark of one's faith. Adolescents who believe that a certain character is good. Well, now is the time period of moral crisis. In terms of hard to find teenagers who have a certain good. Most teenagers today will not oriented to the Prophet Muhammad, but to their idols as well-known bands, soap opera actress, and so forth. It shows that their faith in the Prophet Muhammad began to fade. Though the Prophet more have a larger share in the life of Islam than is their idol.

        This is the problem now faced by young Muslims today. Islam considers them trivial, limited to religion. The solution is how we as Muslims who are both studying to get to the blessing of God, encouraging them to always remember at the All-Creating them, alerting them to how the adab to the opposite sex, parents and others. The Mingling Manners to The Other Guys

           One temptation in the teenage years is "an interest in the opposite". Indeed, the attraction towards the opposite is human nature, whether women or men. But if we can not manage the feelings, it will be a huge catastrophe foreseen, either for themselves or for people we like. As Muslim women we must be sure that we honor must be maintained and cared for, especially when communicating or associating with the opposite so that no danger or even slander.

First: Forbidden to Mix Up

If there is a man alone with a female then the third one as a companion is the devil.
Umar bin Al Khottob said in front of humans in Jabiyah that, "Let not any one of you be alone with a woman (who is not mahram) because devil is the third person, then who are proud of the kindness and saddened by the notoriety he was a believer." (Narrated by Ahmad, hadeeth is saheeh sanad)

Second: Subduing Views

Third: Keep the Genitals of The Opposite Guys

"O Prophet, tell your wives, your daughters and wives of the believers, Let them extend their scarf around their body,  That is so they are easier to be recognized, therefore they are not alone. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. "(QS. al-Ahzab: 59)

Fourth: Forbidden to Mixed Up Between Women and Men

Ikhtilat  is mix up  a woman with men in one place without curtain. Where when there is no veil or barrier fabric of each woman or man can see the opposite very easily. Of course we as Muslim women do not want to be the object of the view by many men is not it? Therefore, we should lower his gaze, as any man has the same obligation to submit his views on women who are not “mahram”, because these are the commandments of Allah SWT in the Qur'an and would be a sin if we do not obey them.

Fifth: Keep The Pubic

Keeping pubic also not easy, because so many teens trapped in relationships. As Muslims we must know how to keep the pubic. The trick, among others, by not looking at the pictures of obscene or arouse lust, not too often read or watch stories of romance, not too often speak or communicate with the opposite, either speak directly (face to face) or by telephone, SMS, chat, IM and other communication media.

Why Should I Wear Hijab?

One of the most difficult decisions many Muslim sisters face is the decision to start wearing hijab. This is certainly true for reverts, but may also be true for sisters whose families or even whose cultures are not particularly observant. As a revert myself, I have been through the whole thing. I would like to offer some advice that I hope inshallah will be helpful to sisters who are considering wearing hijab but find that something is holding them back. If you don't think that you need to wear hijab, try  "Why Should I Wear Hijab?" instead.

Learning About Hijab

The first step is to learn about hijab. There is so much information out there and unfortunately much of it seems to be conflicting. Although most of what you see agrees that the sister must cover everything but her face and hands, some groups say that it is fard to cover everything but the eyes. Meanwhile, certain other groups are dedicated to claiming that covering the hair is not obligatory. It is very easy to get confused. And there are other questions. What is a jilbab? Is it fard to wear one? 

The word hijab is derived from the Arabic root “hajaba”, which means to hide from view or to conceal. Many people use it to refer to the headscarf which Muslim women wear , but hijab is much more than a headscarf: it is an entire way of dressing, behaving and believing. It is acceptable to name the scarf hijab so long as it does not lead to the wrong impression that a headscarf is the only requirement of true hijab. After all, anyone can wear a headscarf (gypsies, fashion models, etc.), but it takes much more than that to fulfill the conditions of Islamic dress. 

1.      Proper hijab (concealment for the Muslim woman) dictates that the entire body must be covered, although the face and hands may be exposed. Some women choose to cover themselves further by means of a face veil and gloves, and this is perfectly fine.

2.      The clothing must be long and loose-fitting so that the shape of the woman is not outlined in her garments. Pants are unacceptable unless they are worn underneath the outer garments.

3.      Garments should not be transparent as to reveal the color of a woman's skin or to expose the hair or body in any way. With regards to the headscarf, it must cover all of the hair and be long enough to cover the woman's ears, neck and chest. Women should take care to ensure that the scarf is securely fastened, usually with pins, and that her hair is arranged so that it will not slip out of her scarf.

4.      Colors and styles should be as plain as possible so that unnecessary attention is not drawn to the woman. In addition, the clothing should not be excessively rich and fancy in order to gain admiration nor excessively poor and ragged in order to gain sympathy. Modesty is the main goal.

5.      Jewelry must not be displayed, and it is especially important that it does not make noise as a woman walks (an ankle-bracelet with bells, for example). Women in pre-Islamic Arabia used to wear such bracelets and stamp their feet in the markets in order to entice and attract men.

6.      The dress should not resemble the garments of men, nor should it imitate the dress of non-Muslims.

7.     Make-up (unless it is completely covered by a face-veil) and perfume are strictly prohibited for Muslim women when outdoors or in the presence of non-mahrem men.

A Muslim woman who wears hijab should also strive to make her actions consistent with her dress with regards to Islamic guidelines for speech, manners and behavior.
